Parish Council Meeting – July 23rd 2026

Solar Farm Project – FarmEnergy will be in attendance at this meeting and parishioners are very welcome to attend this meeting to see how the project is progressing.  Also under discussion will be the Community Benefit Fund  which is to be paid yearly while the solar farm is active.  The funding will be shared between the affected parishes of Stainton and Streatlam, Marwood and Barnard Castle as the footprint of the project impacts them all.

As parishioners, what ideas do you have for these funds?  One suggestion already put forward is to provide better disabled access for the village hall but the company would like local residents to bring ideas that will benefit the parishes.
